Loches, Région Touraine. I visited Shiva and Kevin in the French countryside again after 3 years. It was as if no time had passed. Shiva took me on a walk around the land, showing me the fruit trees, telling me everyone thought the wild prunes were too sour.

Too sour? Or perfect for lavashak, an Iranian dried fruit snack we both grew up with. It was a lazy Friday afternoon before the rest of the guests arrived for the weekend festivities, so we got to work.
